We wanted a control paddle with great spin, but not the lack of power. We eliminated this issue by narrowing the face, making the paddle a little more rigid and powerful. It feels like a 16mm paddle and a thermoformed paddle had a baby.
No matter what kind of player you are, a 3.0-5.0, this paddle will be a great addition to your game, unless you want a thermoformed paddle (that comes later).
Features
Power: We set out to make a powerful non-thermoformed paddle to focus on versatility. We narrowed the face and shorted it a hair to create a stiffer feel for more pop and plow through power.
Control: The Bet is a 16mm foam edged paddle. Even with the adjusted face, it retains most of the control of a Gen 1 16mm paddle without feeling like a pillow (this is a good thing).
Elongated Form: The Bet is an elongated form factor paddle. We designed it for players that desire extra reach and swing leverage.
Long Handle: We put a full 6 inch handle on our paddle to accommodate the modern and progressive 2 handed back hand swings and out stretched reaching of athletic pickleball players. This paddle was designed with both doubles and singles in mind.

What it feels like
The Bet is like the CRBN 1x and a Vatic Pro Prism Flash had a baby. It has balanced control and power leaning towards power a bit more. The narrower face allows for more power with the control of a 16mm paddle. Basically, 13mm power with 16mm-ish control.

Why this shape?
We chose the traditional elongated rectangular shape because we believe it is the most neutral for all walks of life. We did make some adjustments with the traditional elongated face ratio, but that was for performance. We wanted to give it a bit more power without going thermoformed.

Why such a long handle?
The game of pickleball is evolving. We are in the age of the 2 handed backhand. The advantages a 2 handed backhand shot provide are undeniable. We believe this will be an integral part of most player’s games moving forward.

Why isn't it thermoformed?
We love a good thermoformed paddle. We decided that our first model would be more universal in some respects so that beginners could use it to grow. We found that a thermoformed paddle would be less appealing to the mass of players, even with all the benefits the technology provides.

Is it any good?
The Bet is a great paddle! We tested different models and layouts to find exactly what we wanted for this first model. We finally found what we wanted and it plays like a dream. We recommend lead tape for a custom feel no matter what level you are.
